I have the Grey Elephants design in this hardcover notebook from SETTINI. It comes with tissue paper wrapped around the cover to protect it from dings. The elephants are debossed into the front cover and they are cute. Settini is debossed into the back cover and printed on the inside of the front cover. The one ribbon bookmark is grey, so is the elastic closure. The inside back cover has a pocket. The pages are dotted, which is my personal preference. However, the dots do not line up across the pages. Imagine the journal open flat, the dots should be a straight line from the left page to the right, like - - - - - -. Instead, they might be (left page) _ _ _ - - - (right page). I’ve included a picture to better show what I mean. For a journal this pricey, I expect better attention to that sort of detail. The cover is cute, but I spend most of my time using the pages inside, and those off-kilter dots are going to annoy me.
Well I am not a scrapbooker or a journaler, I ordered this cute little book to take notes in. The pages are a little thin and my markers have bled through, so that would be my only complaint. But it is sturdy and the binding is tight enough for me to be able to rip out am oops page. The size is perfect for me. I like this book and I'm happy I ordered it.
I liked this "SETTINI Hardcover Journal Notebook" (Grey/Elephant) a lot; it came nicely packaged, feels solid in your hands, great "faux" leather cover, cute "elephants" design. It truly feels classy and quality. The inside are "thick" pages, 80gsm, not the thickest, but they are definitely not wimpy printer papers. Popular "dotted" pattern on each page for "bullet journaling" and "scrapbooking", no page numbers, a total of 96 sheets, 192 pages. Includes a bookmark, a closure band, and a "pocket" inside the back cover. The overall quality of the paper is good, and works good with most ball pens and gel pens; but if you use ultra fine tip sharpies or ink heavy pens like pilot G2s, there will be bleed throughs and ghostings. So you would need to pick your pens wisely when using this notebook.Lastly, the cost of this is not the cheapest; although it is still cheaper than LEUCHTTURM 1917, it is actually not too, too much cheaper. I do like the extra design (the elephant) tho, that do adds value (and personalization).Thank you for reading this review, I hoped that this review & the pictures are helpful to you in support of your purchase decision.
Las hojas son de muy buena calidad, viene muy bien empacado se nota el cuidado del producto. Excelente opción de regalo o de diario sea de gratitud o un journal.
My wife loves notebooks and she quickly commandeered this one. I ordered it because of the elephant on the front but it turns out that this is a much higher quality notebook than I expected. It comes wrapped in tissue and would actually make a very nice gift. The notebook itself is extremely sturdy and the pages inside feel like high quality paper. This one has a grid of dots on the pages which is good for planning and sketching. She's got a million notebooks already but gave this one a place of prominence as her repository for professional ideas. That's probably the best endorsement I can give.
